About us
Banana Cph has developed a circular concept, where we collaborate with local suppliers and grocery stores to collect surplus bananas that would otherwise be discarded. These bananas are peeled and transformed into banana puree, which serves as the base in all our products.
Up to 40% of bananas are discarded at harvest, and supermarkets throw away millions more every day. Banana Cph reintegrates these waste bananas into the food system, giving them a second chance.
Banana Cph har utvecklat ett cirkulärt koncept i samarbete med lokala leverantörer och livsmedelsbutiker, med syftet att samla in överskottsbananer som annars skulle ha kastats. Dessa bananer skalas och bearbetas till bananpuré, som utgör grunden i alla våra produkter.
Upp till 40 % av alla bananer kasseras redan vid skörden, och livsmedelsbutiker slänger dessutom miljontals varje dag. Banana Cph återinför dessa överskottsbananer i livsmedelssystemet och ger dem en andra chans.
