We are a Spanish company, and most of our production is based at our factory in Montcada i Reixac (Barcelona). There, we employ a large team of approximately 500 people. We also have three branches in Madrid (Dimalco), Seville (Maheso Sur), and Tarragona (Iceberg33). At MATR Foods we use the art of traditional fungi fermentation on a mix of Nordic organic vegetables, legumes and grains to create a new healthy plant ingredient rich with deep umami flavour and a juicy tender bite. MATR was started in Copenhagen, Denmark by a group of people in 2021 who wanted to produce healthy and sustainable food. We saw a need for a change, not only in the selection of available plant-based foods, but also in the way we utilise our produce. Through research, trial and testing we came up with a new way to create delicious food from the unwanted from agriculture. But this did not happen without a strong team. The people behind MATR are a broadly composed group who represent the world of research and food with a special focus on nutrition and microbiology, innovation and engineering, entrepreneurs and chefs from the Nordic culinary universe, including food entrepreneur Claus Meyer. Since then, our team has steadily grown to encompass a dedicated team of scientists, food sector veterans, chefs, nutrition experts, sustainability buffs – passionate people all.

In 1957, Wallace and Harrison McCain, along with their brothers Robert and Andrew McCain, founded McCain Foods in their hometown of Florenceville, New Brunswick, Canada. Under Wallace and Harrison's leadership, McCain Foods quickly established itself in the Canadian market and then embarked on a journey to become the world's largest manufacturer of frozen French fries and specialty potatoes. The business has grown significantly over the years, from 30 employees and global sales of 150,000 CDN, and now employing over 20,000 people with global sales in excess of 9 billion CDN. MixWell is a family business founded in 1999 by Carl-Gustav Hallqvist and Viveca Sylvén Kadesjö. Since the start, we have grown into an established player in gluten-free foods, and today our products are available in all major grocery chains and pharmacies. We develop and manufacture gluten-free flours and baking mixes, but also finished frozen products such as pan pizza and pierogies, all produced in our premises that are specially adapted for gluten-free production. MixWell products are used by bakeries and food industries both in Sweden and internationally. We currently export to, among others, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Poland and the Netherlands, and our exports are constantly growing in step with new markets.
